London chose the Intensive Train-the-Trainer program, ENGR’s largest cohort to date, and followed it with the full GenAI Foundations video curriculum for the rest of its staff.

The brief

Help London Public Library staff take a patron from “I know nothing about AI” to appropriate, confident guidance in a single branch conversation.

The program had three goals: AI literacy and confidence, practical independent use, and community AI education.

What we did

ENGR ran the Intensive program for 40 staff across five cohorts of eight, each with three 3-hour sessions on Zoom. Sessions centred on Microsoft Copilot, the tool LPL staff use every day, alongside ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

Workshops followed patron scenarios through all three days and covered CRAFT prompting, SCAN evaluation, deep research, NotebookLM and building simple tools with AI.

How we measured it

Every participant took the same survey before Day 1 and after Day 3. Individual results stayed private, and the aggregate scores fed London’s AI Readiness Report.

What came next

In August 2026 ENGR delivered the complete video curriculum (27 videos across three modules) so staff beyond the live cohorts learn the same frameworks, with platform access under a one-year licence.
